1. What is hypnosis?
    Hypnosis is a modified state of the conscience, where hypnotic phenomena occur, through the communication between the hypnotherapist and the subject. The individual focus on his attention and directs his thoughts by intensifying the brain activity. A hypnotized person can go into light, middle, or deep trance. Such variation can be personal or even momentarily.

  2. Does it work for everyone?
    It works with everyone who has the capacity of concentration and focuses his attention.

  3. Is there danger of not coming back?
    No. If the hypnotherapist leaves or stops talking, the subject will return alone sooner or later. The individual also can go into deep sleep naturally and wake up later.

  4. As pessoas falam coisas que não se lembram da infância?
    They may do so. However, this is not the only aim of the hypnosis. The central idea is to teach people how to deal better with situations in his life. The infancy may or may not be part of such process of learning.

  5. As pessoas ficam inconscientes?
    No. A person in hypnotic trance is conscious in some thoughts/feelings/sensations. Sometimes, a hypnotic phenomenon may be induced or happen spontaneously, what is the amnesia, and the person may not remember of what happened during the trance

  6. Are hypnosis and relaxation the same thing?
    No. During relaxation the psychic activity is low. In the hypnotic trance, the person is with attention focused on a high psychic activity.

  7. Why is hypnosis considered a treatment of fast results?
    The hypnosis result the patient to focus his attention in solution, through the use of communication and indirect suggestion, thus diminishing the resistance. This permits a change in perception and attitude.
